What is evidence-based coaching (EBC)?

EBC is the practice of using scientific research proven principles, backed by peer-group consensus, to prescribe safe and effective training, nutrition and lifestyle habit programs for optimal health, fitness and wellness. With over 30 years and more than 40,000 hours PT & Coaching experience, I've had the opportunity to work and collaborate with and learn from many of the apply the science to a wide range of clients, giving me an unprecedented insight

Do you offer in-person 1-2-1 or group sessions?

PTs sell sessions, I provide results.

Whilst I have some long-term 1-2-1 clients that prefer regular in-person PT sessions, this is usually only necessary where specific technical coaching is required, due to either injury rehabilitation or for advanced athletic performance.

That said, I do try to meet all clients in person and have travelled by land, air and sea to do so!

It is far more cost effective to enrol on either 'reSET FOR LIFE, my Signature Coaching Program, where you will get the benefit of an educational 1-2-1 bespoke coaching by program, tailored specifically for you, by me personally. Alternatively, my Weekday Warrior program will give you the benefit of me being your PT plus regular check-ins for accountability plus group and 1-2-1 support,

Quite frankly, it seems ridiculous. I'd been training with Danny for a couple of months or so after a long spell of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome had left me mostly exhausted in bed for two years. Danny is very passionate about the importance of having what he calls 'goals beyond your goals'. During one of our sessions I mentioned I'd read an article about expeditions to the South Pole and Danny said "That's a great goal to have beyond our current one!", which I think at the time was walking a mile or two without a rest - hilarious! At first I thought he was joking but I still recall the look on his face... Well, to cut a long story short, almost two years later and there I was stood at the South Pole - the first person over the age of 50 to do so in an unassisted expedition. Quite ridiculous.

Health & Fitness

There are 10 essential elements to an optimal training, nutrition & lifestyle habits regime for health & fitness and improved performance, whether for sport or life & longevity.


Understanding habits and how we track them is the first step to self-mastery. The 5Ms - Measure, Monitor, Manage, MASTER... Make better!


Sleep is the most important and oft-overlooked aspect of health, wellness and recovery. It is often the most urgent matter to address on a new program as it underpins and supports EVERYTHING else we want to achieve.



A key factor in both general and high performance, hydration greases the cogs of every bodily function. However, when it comes to ensuring adequate hydration NOT ALL FLUIDS are created equal!


Getting enough protein, or increasing it to adequate levels, will have a significant positive impact on all bodily recovery. Protein is instrumental in sustaining and reparing every type of bodily tissue.


Understanding the difference between activity/exercise and training, and how they are very separate but synergistic factors that contribute to your overall fitness is the first big lesson for most people.


The laws of physics and sports science apply equally to everyone, however, subtle changes in structure relating to type, frequency, intensity and duration will make a MASSIVE difference to your progress and, ultimately, SUCCESS!


A key factor in both general and high performance, hydration is one of our primary concerns as it greases the cogs of every bodily function.


With the right food prep strategy you will eat more healthily, at a lower cost with more taste and flavour and all whilst spending less time planning and preparing your week's food.



The ability to steady the ship and achieve a sense of calm has significant recuperative and restoraive benefits and will help you achieve optimum performance both mentaliy and physically, as well as recovering from your endeavours. 5-10 minutes once or twice per day yields excellent results!

About Danny Williams

A long-serving devotee of evidence-based Personal Training and Health & Fitness Coaching, Danny Williams has over 30 years and more than 40,000 hours experience as a Personal Trainer and Sports Coach in 1-2-1, group and team settings.

With a PT clientéle that includes elite athletes and sports stars, celebrities, high profile entrepreneurs and global business executives, Danny has also worked in Health & Fitness Management with David Lloyd Leisure and was a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Course Assessor for Health & Fitness (NVQ was the forerunner to REPS).

As a more mature (old!) and very proud father of two young boys, Danny is BIG on the importance of leveling up your later life habits, setting the right example and getting your kids fit and active as young as possible.
